If you have any spare pennies this term Business School student Franceska Shollo is raising money to take part in a skydive to raise even more funds for the British Heart Foundation.
Before she can take part in the skydive Franceska, who is a member of the University’s Business Society Outside the Box, needs to raise £450.
She said: “There are two main challenges that are involved in this fundraising event. Firstly, that it will be using only the virtual method. As a Business student I would like to see how efficient this method might be and spread awareness for other students to fundraise for different causes. Secondly, my fundraising is open to anyone who would like to contribute and share.
“The reason why I have decided to fundraise for BHF is that they invest their donations in research for heart disease treatments and equipment. As I have fundraised for this charity before, I am aware that the lack of knowledge is one of the main reasons why many people’s lives might be at risk, therefore this gift will help the ones who need it. As part of this fundraise, once my target of £450 is reached I will be able to be a ‘brave heart flyer’ to skydive.
“Every beat counts to help build the heart.”
