Do you have a business idea?

Posted on

If you have a business idea, or if you would like to build your freelance career, the Venture Programme can help you develop the skills, knowledge, confidence and connections to work for yourself.

Over the course of the year we have over 50 sessions planned which will challenge your thinking, expose you to the business world and give you the opportunity to make something happen for yourself!

Our sessions are delivered by entrepreneurs, mentors, Business Coaches and Consultants and there are no costs incurred for you to attend.

Our Venture Network runs alongside the sessions as a monthly meet-up, off campus, where you can practice your networking skills and connect with like-minded people. You can also enter our ‘two-minute pitch’ competition for a chance to win £100 to take your idea to the next stage.

And, if you bank 12 hours’ worth of support, you can also apply to pitch for your share of £5,000 to really get your business off the ground.

You can gain recognition for taking part in Venture events through The Chester Difference Award; where you could gain up to three points!

You can book on to our sessions and events and find out more about the Venture Programme on CareerHub: careers.chester.ac.uk.
